May 22, 1960 – Chile , magnitude 9.5 on the Richter Scale shook Santiago and Concepcion, causing sea waves and volcanic explosion. About 5,000 people have been killed and 2 million people homeless.
4 November 1952 – Russian , SR 9 earthquake caused a tsunami that reached the Hawaiian Islands. There were no casualties in this earthquake.
March 11, 2011 – Japan , earthquake 9 SR invade Japan, causing many casualties. US Geological Survey earthquake verify located at a depth of 24.3 km and 130.3 km east center in Sendai, on the island of Honshu.
